Counselling Approaches

What we offer

  • General counselling

I work using an eclectic and collaborative, Person centred approach, grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion and respect, supporting you to recognise your strengths, realise your potential, and create meaningful, positive change.

I support individuals with concerns such as anxiety, depression, everyday life challenges, self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss and navigating significant life transitions.

  • Christian Counselling

I adopt the eclectic model, integrating insight-oriented work (understanding a person’s history), cognitive-behavioural strategies (challenging unhelpful beliefs), experiential therapy (working with emotions), and where appropriate, medical support. It takes a whole-person perspective, supporting the spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical aspects of wellbeing.

It is grounded in a Christian worldview, holding that the Bible contains God’s truth and has primary authority. At the same time, it recognises that truth can also be found through God’s creation and the sciences. Psychological insights may be integrated where they are helpful and do not contradict biblical values.
